By Vanguard AttachéProtection that supports the purpose of the trip
Executive protection concerns personal security during your Brazil visit. A close-protection request should define the traveler’s needs, the places and commitments involved, and the responsibilities of the local executing provider. An executive assistant, family office or corporate security team needs a scope that distinguishes personal protection, transport and any written risk assessment.
Vanguard Attaché provides Brazil travel planning, private concierge and local support.
We plan and direct the agreed protection engagement around your Brazil visit. We coordinate the protection request with transport, accommodation already booked and the time you want to enjoy Brazil. Planning and concierge assistance is included within the agreed transport or protection engagement, with responsibilities and service hours defined in the written proposal. Neither a premium hotel nor a visitor’s nationality automatically calls for an executive-protection detail.
Choose the roles you need
A private driver, a security-driver requirement and a close-protection service answer different questions. Compare them against the visit rather than using wealth, job title or a city label as an automatic risk score. A vehicle choice also needs its own confirmation; an armored vehicle does not, by itself, include a protection service.
| Planning need | What to discuss | What to confirm in the proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Private transport | Airport arrivals, meetings, dining and an agreed period with a driver. | Vehicle and luggage capacity, driver requirements, service hours and supplier. |
| Security-driver requirement | A transport request with specific security-driver qualifications or an armored vehicle requirement. | The requested role and vehicle separately, provider documentation, availability and any exclusions. |
| Executive protection | Personal protection alongside the visit, with local regulated execution where applicable. | The protection scope, authorized executing provider, service window, responsibilities and costs. |
| Included planning and concierge assistance | Destination choices, local arrangements and coordination alongside your transport or protection engagement. | Included responsibilities and service hours, booking holder, payer and confirmations still pending. |
If you are unsure which service to request, discuss the concern privately or commission a written risk assessment. This comparison describes buying choices; it does not assess an individual’s risk or prescribe protective methods.

You are still shaping the visit
Begin with the purpose, cities and pace. Consider how meetings, accommodation and personal time fit together before choosing the protection scope. We can discuss destination and concierge support alongside the specialist service so your proposal reflects the visit you actually want.
Flights and accommodation are already booked
Bring the existing itinerary and identify the support still missing. We can work around confirmed arrangements and discuss protection and transport for the relevant parts of the visit. Existing reservations do not have to be moved into our name; confirm any changes with their booking holder.
An advisor or corporate team already coordinates travel
Identify the person approving the local scope and the responsibilities that stay with your advisor, travel team or existing provider. Keep one version of the agreed request, with confirmed arrangements and open items listed separately. Company travel-policy or reporting requirements should be raised before approval.
Direction, local delivery and evidence
One operator is answerable for the whole movement — vehicle, protection, accommodation and access are directed together, not assembled from separate vendors.
Directed together means one accountable point of coordination within the agreed engagement. The reference to separate vendors concerns coordinated direction; it does not mean that one company supplies every service. Licensed local partners and other suppliers may deliver individual services, and some bookings may stay with you or your advisor. Requested access is subject to the venue’s availability, requirements and confirmation. Your written proposal identifies the parts Vanguard directs, the included services and the responsibilities retained by you, your advisor or another provider you retain.
Regulated armed services in Brazil are delivered by appropriately licensed local partners under Vanguard Attache direction.
Before approving a regulated service, confirm the responsible executing provider and the documentation applicable to the actual service. Company descriptions, a founder’s personal background or an alignment statement are not substitutes for that documentation.
- Standards
- Aligned with ISO 18788 and ISO 31030 (alignment, not certification).
- Insurance
- Professional liability (E&O) for our operational direction; licensed partners carry local-law mandatory coverages.
Request the documents and conditions relevant to the proposal. Standards alignment is not a certification. Operational-direction coverage and local delivery coverage are different; these statements do not promise a medical benefit, an indemnity limit or absolute safety.
What you receive before approving the engagement
The protection-planning conversation leads to a written proposal for the agreed request. It sets out the service scope, responsibilities and commercial terms so you and your approving contact can decide what to commission. A separate written risk assessment can be scoped if the decision needs further analysis.
Scope and deliverables
The protection service requested, relevant destinations, coordination included and services excluded. List other planning or concierge deliverables separately.
Hours and changes
The booked service window, waiting time, overtime terms and the approval process for extensions. Contact-channel availability does not mean assigned personnel or vehicles are booked around the clock.
Providers and responsibility
Who directs the engagement, who executes each regulated service and which documents must be supplied. Language, accessibility and other requirements should be confirmed for the agreed assignment.
Bookings and payments
You or your advisor can hold bookings and pay suppliers directly, or Vanguard can coordinate bookings on your behalf, as agreed in the proposal. Confirm the booking holder, who pays whom and the cancellation terms for each arrangement.
Costs and conditions
Separate our agreed fees from supplier charges. Identify taxes, expenses, deposits and any estimate or unconfirmed third-party cost. Compare proposals on the same scope and service hours.
Confirmations and next steps
Distinguish requested availability from confirmed resources. Record who approves changes, the private contact channel and the deployment timeline agreed for your engagement.
Pricing is provided by written quote after scope, itinerary, availability, legal delivery requirements, taxes, and third-party costs are assessed.
Bring each destination into the plan
A multi-city visit should remain coherent for the traveler and the arranger. Tell us which cities are involved, what is fixed and where you want personal time. Confirm scope and availability for each part; this page does not imply a verified office in every destination.
São Paulo
Consider how the accommodation base relates to business commitments, dining and the time available to explore. Bring the existing bookings into the transport and protection discussion.

Discuss the balance of business, cultural interests and leisure. Keep any requested protection distinct from guide, driver and reservation responsibilities.

What does executive protection planning include?
We discuss your Brazil visit and protection requirements, then prepare a written proposal covering the requested service, local delivery responsibilities, agreed hours and commercial terms. Transport, concierge and any separate written risk assessment are identified individually so you can see what is included.
Do I need executive protection for every trip to Brazil?
Nationality, a job title or a luxury booking does not alone determine the appropriate scope. Discuss your circumstances privately and consider a written risk assessment where needed. Planning and concierge assistance is included with a transport engagement; a protection detail is not automatically required. Responsibilities and service hours are defined in the written proposal.
Can you support a trip I have already booked?
Yes. Bring your confirmed flights, accommodation and general itinerary into the discussion, then identify the local support you need. Your proposal distinguishes existing bookings, services we are asked to coordinate and arrangements that still need confirmation.
Is an armored vehicle the same as executive protection?
No. Vehicle specification, driver role and close protection are separate requirements. Confirm the actual supplying provider, documentation and availability for each requested service rather than assuming that a vehicle includes personal protection.
Who delivers regulated armed services in Brazil?
Regulated armed services in Brazil are delivered by appropriately licensed local partners under Vanguard Attache direction. Your proposal should identify the responsible executing provider and the documentation applicable to the commissioned service.
Who holds and pays for hotel or activity bookings?
Both models are available, as agreed in your proposal: you or your advisor can hold bookings and pay suppliers directly, or Vanguard can coordinate bookings on your behalf. Confirm who holds each reservation, who pays whom, our agreed fees, supplier charges and cancellation terms before committing.
Does the price cover a full day or around-the-clock personnel?
Only the service window and resources confirmed in the written proposal are included. Agree start and end of service, waiting time, overtime and extension approvals. The ability to contact a company is different from paying for assigned personnel or vehicle availability.
How is executive protection priced?
Pricing is provided by written quote after scope, itinerary, availability, legal delivery requirements, taxes, and third-party costs are assessed. Compare inclusions, exclusions and service hours before approving the proposal.
Can an EA, family office or travel advisor coordinate the engagement?
Yes. Identify the contact preparing the request, the decision maker and the responsibilities retained by your existing advisor or corporate travel team. State any procurement, language or reporting requirements at the outset so the written scope can address them.
Can a visit include São Paulo, Rio and other cities?
Bring all proposed destinations into the conversation and confirm availability, responsibilities and service hours for each part of the visit. Availability of a particular arrangement in one city does not establish that it is confirmed in another.
What proof should I request before commissioning protection?
Request the executing provider’s applicable authorization and documents, the coverage relevant to the proposed service and a clear division of responsibilities. Standards alignment is not certification, and an individual’s background does not establish a company accreditation.
What about medical assistance or consular help?
Discuss any requirements and identify the external contacts and providers you should retain. A protection proposal does not automatically include medical treatment, evacuation, insurance benefits or consular functions. The agreed scope should state any assistance included and its limitations.
Discuss your protection requirements
Start with your destinations, general dates, party size, existing bookings and the services you want to discuss. Share sensitive personal or itinerary information through the private channel agreed in the conversation. We will use the request to discuss an appropriate scope and prepare the next steps.
